Amazon.com Product Description
The simply designed Casio G-Shock Classic analog-digital watch for men offers shock resistance that's great for your most vigorous sporting activities as well as anti-magnetic properties. The durable round black watch case measures 47mm wide (1.85 inches), and it's matched to a comfortable black resin sports strap. Timekeeping features include a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 24-hour capacity and elapsed time mode, dual time for tracking a second time zone, daily alarm, and 12/24-hour formats. Other features include an Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2039), ±15-second accuracy per month, Afterglow backlighting, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--which will stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving.

Note: Though this watch is designed to withstand exposure to magnetic force, you should still keep it away from machinery and appliances that generate a strong magnetic field.

3 out of 5 stars Hard to readdigital dial   August 19, 2010
Stephen2
I bought this watch after returning a more complicated solar--atomic G-Shock watch. I like the stying and size very much. I like that it has a dual time zone. The only minor drawaback is that the digital readout is very hard to read for two reasons--one is that the letters and numbers are gray against a black background. It takes thought to realize this as my brain (everyone's?) tries to see black numbers/letters against a gray background. The second reason is the contrast between gray and black isn't great. Sure I can use the light but that takes energy. I still like tha watch enough to keep it.

3 out of 5 stars After one year...   August 13, 2010
J. Jones (Kansas USA)
I have owned this watch for over a year and wear it daily. I wear it at home, work and gym.
Pros
-Colors have not faded
-Accurate. After making an adjustment for daylight savings time it stays accurate until the next setting.
-Comfortable
-Tough

Cons
-Not completely water resistant. When changing temp extremes, condensation forms until the watch acclimates.
-Date is blocked every 30 minutes. Since I tend to forget the date often AND have to write it often, not a good combo.

Overall.
This watch is ok- I would buy a Casio G-shock again but not this model.

4 out of 5 stars Above average watch.   July 30, 2010

I've had this watch for over three years and haven't had any problems with it. It's been more or less a set it and forget it type of watch. I usually just set it for day light saving time / standard time.
After three plus years the battery was still showing no signs of failure ! That got me concerned so I thought I would change it myself. Not ! Once I got the back off I see the most complex battery clamp I had ever seen !I paid $5 for the battery, and then another $7 to take it to a watch repair place to have them do it right. Took the guy about 5 minutes to do it.
The band still looks good. The first G shock I bought had to have the band changed once a year. And that watch lasted over 12 years before I had to replace it.
Another thing I wasn't happy about is it's not made in Japan, but assembled in Thailand with Japanese parts...
Over all, I'm happy with it.It's been a problem free watch.

4 out of 5 stars Great Sport Watch   July 21, 2010

I like everything about this watch except I wish it had a second hand. I use it during work and around my boat because it is very hardy.

Just received the Casio G 100-BV today and found at first glance that the digital readout would not work for me. As a senior I still have good vision and use the chrono a lot but found this didn't show up at all like the online display of the watch. Too bad as the watch looked very attractive. Amazon was very understanding. I'm still looking for an analog with a clear if not big digital display.
